Privacy policy

In short. Fartulex keeps what the game needs, tied to your account. No ads, no tracking, no data sold. The microphone only opens when you press to record. You can export your cuvées or delete your account at any time from the app.
Who we are
Fartulex is published by EPREYN SAS, 40 Avenue du Canigou, 66370 Pézilla-la-Rivière, France (RCS Perpignan 892 742 297), which is the controller of your personal data. For any question about your data: contact@epreyn.com.
What we collect and why
| Data | What for |
|---|---|
| Guest account: a random identifier created the first time you open the app. | Keeping your cellar (cards, credits, progress) without asking you to sign up. |
| Linked account, if you link your cellar to Apple or Google: the identifier and the email address they share with us (Apple may give a private relay address). | Signing you back in on any phone. We don’t send marketing emails. |
| Profile: your artist name, your country, and a photo if you choose one. | Showing your profile, signing your cards (the photo appears as a watermark), country leaderboards and the Nations Cup. |
| Your sounds: the recordings you submit, and their measurements (length, pitch, reverb…). | Creating your cards, setting their rarity, writing their tasting notes, and playing them back to you and to the players who own them. |
| Game content: cards, credits, boosters, trades, auctions and bids, wish list, messages you send about a card, achievements, Blind Tasting results, quiz answers, rankings. | Running the game, its economy and its leaderboards. |
| Purchases: product, date, store and transaction identifier. | Delivering credits, the Season Pass and Fartulex Plus, and restoring them. Payment is handled by Apple or Google: we never see your card details. |
| Notifications, if you allow them: a device token. | Telling you about a trade, an outbid or a finished sale. |
Recordings are analysed on your phone first. A recording the sommelier refuses there (speech, music…) is not submitted. We don’t use advertising identifiers, we don’t track you across other apps or websites, and we don’t sell or rent your data.
What other players see
- Your artist name, photo, country, level, title and cosmetics, and your rankings.
- The cards you put up for auction or offer in a trade, and the messages you send them.
- Your ungraded creations, only in your friends’ boosters. Once graded, a cuvée joins the season’s Grand cru and can be pulled by any player, signed with your artist name.
Legal bases
We process your data to provide the game you asked for (performance of a contract), to keep it fair and secure, for instance against cheating and abuse (legitimate interest), and to keep purchase records required by law (legal obligation). Notifications rely on your consent, which you can withdraw in your phone’s settings.
Who processes it for us
- Google (Firebase): authentication, database, file storage, server functions, notifications and hosting of this site.
- RevenueCat: validation of purchases and subscriptions.
- Apple and Google: sign-in, payments and distribution of the app, under their own privacy policies.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union. Those transfers are covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we erase your profile, photo, linked email, recordings, collection, trades and messages within 30 days, backups included. Copies of your graded cuvées that other players already own stay in their binders, without your name or photo. Purchase records are kept as long as accounting law requires. See Delete your account.
A guest cellar that was never linked only lives under its anonymous identifier: if you delete the app, you lose access to it.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or erase your data, object to or restrict its processing. Most of it is in the app: Settings › Account to link, sign out or delete, and “Export my cuvées” for your recordings. For anything else, write to contact@epreyn.com with your artist name. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or your local data protection authority.
Children
Fartulex is meant for players aged 13 and over. If you think a younger child has created an account, tell us and we’ll delete it.
Security
Data travels encrypted between the app and our servers, and access to it is restricted to the people who need it to run the game.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date above, and we let you know in the app when the change matters.
